lyrics

THE FATHOMS OF EXORDIUM

A dormant mass floats motionless on waters calm
From wondrous task comes whispers to a silent song
Embracing life a warm felt kiss awakens me
A conquered strife the birth of thought’s implanted seed

I question what I have become

Am I alive or is this merely fantasy
Can I survive or will fate be my destiny
In solitude I sought to find a presence in myself
Did I delude convictions I could have beheld

My journeys led me to the utmost realm of every place
Beyond the sun and moon past origins of time and space
There in my quest I heard tell of the knowledge that I search
They lay within the sea of birth

The breaking dawn adorns the calm salvation I’ve achieved
I reach to touch and learn as much as ever’s been conceived
But as I bathe my thoughts dismayed I fear I’ve been deceived
And now this raging sea’s no more a gentle lure
The cold winds cast me back to shore

Now at a loss I fear to tally time misspent
But at this cost I’ve learned through my experience
I did achieve my dreams fulfilled not shattered as I thought
For I have seen the realisation of what I had sought
